Sangakara keeper cum batsman completes 10,000 ODI runs
Sri Lankan star wicket keeper-batsman Kumar Sangakkara completed 10,000 runs in One Day International cricket during the tri series ODI against Australia on Friday.
The stylish left handed batsman became the 10th batsman to reach the landmark, accompanying Sanath Jayasurya and Mahela Jayawardena in the glorious list.
Sangakkara's 30-run knock helped Sri Lanka register their first win on the tour, getting them to within striking distance of India and Australia in the points table.
In a career of over 315 ODIs so far, Sangakkara has scored 12 centuries and 67 fifties. To go along with his One-Day laurels, Sangakkara also has over 9,000 Test runs including 28 hundreds.
