Sachin Tendulkar, who was expected to be back in action for the last two One-Day Internationals against the West Indies, is unlikely to join Team India ahead of the Australia tour.

Tendulkar will instead leave with the India squad for Australia in the first batch, which was reported to be leaving on December 8, CNN IBN reported.

The Little Master was rested from the squad for the first three matches but sources say the 38-year-old wantsed to play the remaining two matches of the series scheduled on December 8 and 11 in Indore and Chennai respectively.

Tendulkar is on the brink of creating another history as he has 99 international centuries on his name. Tendulkar last scored a century during India's World Cup league match against South Africa in March 2011.
