Afridi: We are all focussed and we want to do well, the England series is coming up and we need to do well against them. Misbah is leading the team well and we have got complete backing from the coach and the support staff. I am happy with the way I am bowling. I was cool when I went into bat, the coach told me to play easy and that is what I did. I am experimenting with my bowling and it is coming off well.

Shahid Afridi is the MoM for his all-round efforts. He took 5/23 with the ball and made an unbeaten 24 with the bat in a low-scoring game.

Misbah: At one stage, it was becoming really tough, they bowled really well. But thanks to Afridi, we managed to pass the line. We need to give our 100% effort and take the innings along. We need to concentrate more in future. The problem for us is that we need to convert the starts into bigger knocks and we need to finish it. Afridi is doing well since his comeback and we are thrilled to have him back.

Rahim: At the end of the day, the only positives for us has been our bowling. We lost too many early wickets, they bowled really well. We need to work on our top-order. Shakib is our best and consistent performer, but the others should chip in. Hopefully, we will do well in the next match.

Another poor effort from the Bangladeshi batsmen. The lack of application has been their undoing all these years and it continues to haunt them. The bowlers did well to make a match in the end, but you cannot expect them to win matches from near impossible situations.

A convincing win in the end for Pakistan, but it was not without nerves. It took that man, Afridi, to come out and get his team past the winning mark. Misbah was ice cool until the end. Mohsin Khan will be worried with the way the chase went about. They will be happy with the win though. They go 1-0 up with two games to go.
