What is Test Cricket, Rules of Test Cricket

Test Cricket is the longest form of cricket .Test Cricket matches are played between nations that has test status. The test status will be determined by International Cricket Council.Ten nations has been given the official test status and Bangladesh has been the last nation to be given test status in 2000.

The first officially recognized Test Cricket Matches has been played in the year 1877 and it has been played between Cricket England and Cricket Australia. The game played at Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) had been won by Cricket Team Australia by 45 runs. The two match series had been leveled when England Cricket Team won the second test and that test had been also played in Melbourne Cricket Ground. Cricket Australia and Cricket England played the 100 years of Test Cricket in Melbourne Cricket Ground in 1977 and Cricket Australia Team won by 45 runs like the first match.
Test cricket Match has been considered as the best when it comes to endure ability. Each day will be divided into three sessions, Morning session, Post Lunch session and Post tea session. Each Test Cricket match session will have a duration of two hour and there will be a lunch break of 40  minutes. Drinks break of  five minutes will be given in each session. Ten minute interval between change of innings has been allowed in Test Cricket. There will be exception to the rules in Test Cricket. If the batting team has lost nine wickets, tea can be delayed by 30  minutes. There will be addition of 30 more minutes to bowl the stipulated 90  overs in a day of the time has been lost due to ad weather.
The Test Cricket will be played in innings. Each team will have  11 players each. The maximum duration is five days for test match. In each innings one team will be bowling and the other team will be batting. There will be system by which a team decides to bat or bowl first. That decision has been called the toss system. The home team captain will be tossing the coin up while the visiting team captain will be saying heads or tails. The captain who wins the toss can decides what to do.The  Test Cricket  toss will be done in presence of match referee. The  Test Cricket  playing 11 is normally decided based on the quality of the pitch the match is played on.
